About UsThe CliMates
The CliMates began its journey on 27 October 2024 as a youth-led development organization founded by passionate changemakers from the southern and northern regions of Bangladesh.
The organization emerged from a shared realization that while many efforts in Bangladesh focus on poverty reduction, one of the deepest-rooted causes—climate change and its devastating impact on coastal communities—remains inadequately addressed.

Coastal populations, despite contributing little to global emissions, are among the hardest hit by rising sea levels, salinity intrusion, floods and extreme weather events.
Yet, their resilience and innovation continue to inspire hope as they adapt to natural adversities, preserve local ecosystems and strive to build sustainable livelihoods.
