The CliMates is a youth-led, visionary development organization founded by passionate changemakers from both the southern and northern regions of Bangladesh.
- The organization emerged from a shared realization that while many efforts in Bangladesh focus on poverty reduction, one of the deepest-rooted causes—climate change and its devastating impact on coastal communities—remains inadequately addressed.
- Coastal populations, despite contributing little to global emissions, are among the hardest hit by rising sea levels, salinity intrusion, floods and extreme weather events. Yet, their resilience and innovation continue to inspire hope as they adapt to natural adversities, preserve local ecosystems and strive to build sustainable livelihoods.
- To champion their voices and strengthen their resilience, The CliMates was formed—not merely as an organization but as an umbrella platform for climate-affected people and like-minded groups working towards a more sustainable, climate-resilient future. The CliMates cultivate collaboration, knowledge-sharing and community empowerment to address climate challenges through inclusive and sustainable solutions.

The CliMates is a youth-led development organization dedicated to building a sustainable
and climate-resilient Bangladesh.
- Founded by changemakers from across the country, we address the root causes of poverty by tackling climate change and its harsh impacts on vulnerable coastal communities.We believe those least responsible for climate change deserve the strongest support to adapt and thrive.
- Through innovation, sustainability and community empowerment, The CliMates works with affected people, youth and partners to create climate-smart livelihoods, promote renewable energy and strengthen community resilience.
- Standing for climate justice and shared responsibility, The CliMates embodies a new generation of leaders turning climate challenges into opportunities for a greener, fairer future. We are Creative Eco-Friendly and Adaptive transformer to install inclusive development.
What We Do?
The CliMates works to address the root causes of climate vulnerability through sustainable, community-driven solutions. Our focus is on empowering climate-affected populations to build resilience, adapt to changing environmental conditions and pursue low-carbon livelihoods.
We integrate climate-smart technologies, renewable energy and nature-based solutions to enhance local economies while preserving ecosystems. By connecting science, innovation and community wisdom, The CliMates creates a bridge between sustainable development goals and everyday realities on the ground.

Our Activities
Climate-Smart Livelihood Development
We promote sustainable income opportunities through eco-friendly agriculture, green entrepreneurship and renewable energy initiatives that reduce environmental impact while improving household stability.
Renewable Energy and Low-Carbon Innovation
The CliMates supports the adoption of solar, biogas and energy-efficient technologies to reduce emissions, cut energy costs and enhance rural electrification.
Community Capacity Building and Awareness
