• It is my privilege to share the vision and commitment of The CliMates as we continue our journey to build a climate-resilient and equitable future for Bangladesh. The CliMates was founded with a deep belief that climate-vulnerable communities deserve not sympathy, but strong platforms that amplify their voices, protect their rights and unlock their full potential to lead resilient lives.
• Across our coastal regions, families have endured repeated climate shocks—from Sidr, Nargis, Aila, Bulbul, Amphan to Yaas. Yet, their strength and ingenuity continue to inspire us every day. Their stories remind us that climate justice is not only a global agenda; it is a lived experience for millions. Alongside these natural hazards, human-induced environmental challenges demand urgent and responsible action.
• As a youth-led organization, The CliMates stands determined to foster climate leadership, advance nature-positive solutions and support communities through research, innovation, advocacy and grassroots action. We believe in collaboration, transparency and inclusive growth. Every initiative we take is guided by the values of dignity, sustainability and social justice.
• We invite development partners, institutions, youth leaders and community allies to join us in this mission. Together, we can strengthen resilience, restore ecosystems and secure a safe, just and sustainable future for generations to come.
